1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- Order information: name, email address, phone number, billing and (if different) delivery address, items ordered, order value, payment method, order and fulfilment status. If you optionally provide a customer GSTIN for a business invoice, it is stored with the order for invoice processing; tax calculation is not performed by this storefront.
- Shopper account information: name, email address, optional phone number and a password hash used for sign-in. Orders placed while signed in may be linked to that account for a private order list. Guest orders and imported customer records are not automatically linked by email. Where encrypted SMTP settings are configured and tested, new accounts can require email verification and shoppers can request password-reset links. Email messages use one-time hashed tokens with short expiry; SMTP credentials are stored encrypted.
- Seller application/account information: shop or maker name, email address and the credentials needed to sign in. Sellers may provide product descriptions, prices, stock and image links.
- Support communications: information you choose to include when contacting us, including order references and attachments.
- Technical and security information: basic server logs such as IP address, browser/device information, timestamps and security events, as recorded by our hosting or security services. Shopper sign-in and account-email rate limiting stores a keyed hash of the email/IP/action combination and attempt timestamps, rather than the raw IP in that limit table.
- Payment status/reference: payment provider, transaction/order reference and status returned to us. Payment providers collect and process payment credentials under their own privacy terms.
2. How we use information
- To create and manage orders, arrange delivery and provide customer support.
- To operate seller accounts, review seller applications and display products.
- To process or verify payments, detect fraud, secure the website and maintain records required for business and legal purposes.
- To respond to questions, service requests, returns and complaints.
- To improve site reliability and understand technical problems. Any analytics or marketing tools, if enabled, should be disclosed here before they are switched on.
3. When information may be shared
We share only what is reasonably needed with the people and services that help operate an order or the website:
- Marketplace sellers and delivery providers receive the relevant customer, item and delivery information needed to fulfil an order.
- Payment providers receive payment and order information to collect, authenticate or refund a payment. Their own terms and privacy notices apply to the payment interface.
- Hosting, security and technical providers may process website and server data to keep the service working.
- Affiliate partners, including Edos may receive a referral when you follow an affiliate product link. A purchase made on a partner website is subject to that partner’s privacy and purchase policies.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect customers, sellers, the marketplace or our legal rights.
We do not sell customer personal information as a standalone data product.
4. Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed to fulfil orders, handle disputes, operate seller accounts, meet record-keeping obligations and protect the service. Retention periods depend on the type of record and applicable requirements. We use reasonable safeguards, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use a unique password and contact us promptly if you suspect account misuse.
Do not send card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, passwords or one-time passcodes to our support email. Use only the payment screen presented during checkout.
5. Cookies and browser storage
The site may use essential session cookies for sign-in and checkout. If you select “Remember me for 30 days,” a separate essential, HttpOnly browser cookie keeps you signed in on that device for up to 30 days; you can remove it by signing out. The storefront also uses your browser’s local storage to remember your shopping bag on that device. If you arrive through an Edos affiliate link with a referral code (for example, a supported `ref` or `affiliate_id` parameter), that code may be saved in local storage for up to 30 days and attached to an order so the referral can be reconciled. Clearing browser storage may remove the saved bag or referral. If you install the optional ZirconShop web app on a supported browser, it may cache public static files and an offline notice on this device; the service worker does not cache account, cart, order, checkout or API responses, and live store information still requires an internet connection. Hosting or security services may set necessary technical cookies. If optional analytics, advertising cookies or a cookie-consent tool are introduced, this policy and any required consent controls should be updated before use.
6. Your choices and requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your account or order, subject to identity checks and records we must retain. You may also request help with seller account closure or stop non-essential messages. We will review requests under applicable law and explain if a record must be retained.
7. Children
The marketplace is intended for adults making purchases or people using it with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly invite children to create seller accounts. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the shop, providers or applicable requirements change. The “Last updated” date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes should be highlighted on the website where appropriate.
